95 grain T. rex maker bullet help

I did a short lived test with the tipped version of these. I always start my work ups 20k off of the lands with everything. Starline brass, #41 primers and 8208 up to 29gr out of a proof research barrel. decided to stop there because I just couldnt get them to shoot better than 2" some were over 3" if I remember correctly. To date this is the only bullet that my barrel hates. Rarely will it shoot over an inch. I don't recall any velocitys or sd's I didn't log them. Sorry if this wasn't much use to you, I was just replying with my recent experience with them.

I had the same intentions and bought 150. I still need to try these in my 12" barrel. I was just surprised because this 20" is such a tack driver with everything ive put through it. I'll try these again in the near future through the 12". Good luck to you, I hope they do well.

I can't speak for the 95s but the 110s are my hunting bullet out of my 12" and they group under an inch with a couple different powders.

Also try emailing or calling Paul and maker ammo. He's very responsive and has led me the right way on load data.

What oal did you go with?

I used 28.4g of 8208, oal 2.215, got 2312 fps velocity out of 12" with an 7 shot group @ 0.61 moa with the 110g


28.2g shot 0.49 moa but i took the 25 fps gain for a hunting round.

Just posted in kill section for my deer. I also have killed a few hogs with it. Everything died and didn't run far at all. Nice exit holes. Super fast expansion. Im happy.

Ummm, Ironically Richochet and I ran a few tests in 2013 on my LFP units. He contacted Paul Maker - to convince him to make a 95 grn pill-Based upon my research on the lead frees'.


Paul called me while deer hunting out west, about my recent order placement,,,,, Back then- he said Oh1 Your' sneaky! Richoshay and I talked. My order came in 2 weeks after hunting season closed.

He tried to get it here in time.... Ironically,,, I have not loaded any,,,, GMX and T rex are about same bullet for length, wt. Again, PM me.
