Ballistic Information for 100 grain Wolf

Does anyone know the bullet length and ballistic coefficient (G1 preferably) for the steel cased 100 grain WOLF FMJ? My ballistic calculator has the data for the 100 grain Barnaul stuff, but not the Wolf. Is it the same ammo just with different vendors? Thanks.

Think Caddilac/Buick/Chevy. I believe Barnaul makes Wolf. ~Riuma

I shot the Wolf and Barnaul side by side. Very similar though I'd give the Barnaul the edge in quality. Use the Barnaul data and you'll be very close.

I have not seen Barnaul 6.5G but I would shoot it. I have a case and a half of the 125 grain SP 7.62x39 and it is both fast and MOA accurate. It is very good ammunition.~Riuma

So would I. Even the Wolf stuff can be accurate in the right gun. I average 1 MOA 5 shot groups with it with my 18" build.
I do somewhat worry about the bimetal jacket, since I've heard some people claim that it will degrade barrel accuracy over time (especially if said barrel is stainless steel). But with the cost savings, I can just buy a new barrel if necessary.

The chronograph numbers on the Barnaul steel case were pretty good. Out of a 22" Black Hole barrel

FWIW, the GI BC in my calculator default says 0.515. Might be a little optimistic consider the G1 of a 107 SMK which is similar in shape and purpose made for this, is closer to 0.45. I've actually downgraded my G1 BC in the app manually down to about 0.41 for my G1 BC for Wolf Steel.

Mine also says .515, which seems very optimistic. Have you shot at range with the new value of .41? Did it seem to work out?

No, I've run it at the.515, and it was definatelly way off though. 600 yard shots needed like 700 yard or maybe even more holdovers, I don't recall - but way off. It frustrates me the way companies overstate their BC's. Nobody is buying cheap Wolf Steel ammo, nor are they buying cheap S&B6.5 CM ammo, based on the listed BC. Yet they still list absurdly high BC's that are at least 20% exaggerated. At 1000 yards, plinking at Steel, that matters quite a bit! It can even start showing up at just 300 yards.

Thank you! I really wish theyd post the correct BC's. Is bullet length 1.00"? If you don't know, I'll try pulling one.
