I received an email from Midway today stating both were discontinued products. I had them listed at Midway to notify when in stock.

Manufacturers (not just CCI, Fed, and Rem as well) are discontinuing the 5k bricks due to the current situations. These are still available in 1k boxes.

I got the same emails and it was for the 5000 piece sku on all of them. I also got emails from them today for all of the 5000 piece sku's for Winchester primers being discontinued. Last year I got an email from them stating they were also discontinuing the Remington primers of all sku sizes. Pretty soon they will be selling 1 single primer and you will have to get a background check to get that.

Unless you have proof that is coming from the manufacturers then it's nothing more than rumor. Midway does this a lot when products are changing SKU's or styles of packaging. They also do it temporarily when things are extremely hard to get.

Midwayusa has not had 5000 cases for sale for a long time, they're listed but always show unavailable. All they're primers are for sale are in 1000 packs and limit of one per 7 days. Kinda sucks cause you have to pretty much pay hazmat on every 1000 you buy.

I agree- it ends up being $100/brick at Midway between the high price and the shipping and hazmat. Not worth it. I don't even check Midway for primers anymore.

Missed a 5000 pack of CCI #450 today at Brownells.com, was OOS when I got to payment during checkout.
Although CCI srp benchrest primers 5000 for $471 were in stock for almost 10 minutes, maybe demand is easing up and $100 per 1000 isn't as appealing, I know I passed on them for that price.

Midwayusa.com had the same CCI srp benchrest this morning for $99 as well but only in packs of 1000. I think Midwayusa is just breaking the 5000 case down and selling them in 1000 packs so the discontinued notice is they won't be listing the 5000 case anymore.
If you want to buy bulk at discount this kinda sucks but it also gives more people a chance to score some primers cause not everyone needs 5000 primers at once.
