6.5 Grendel: 300 Yard Water Jug Test with 130 gr Scirocco II and 127gr Barnes LRX. 18" barrel, MV 2500 fps

    Found this.

Good info, though not the best videography.

    Both bullets do well.

Interesting. I'll remember those two bullets if I get drawn for a water jug hunt. ~Riuma

I think his load of 32gr of CFE223 is hot. Barnes gives 31gr for the 120gr TTSX.

Why in the world would someone do a 300 yard "test" without sighting in their rifle?

"I think I know where it's hitting". "Well, looks like I have to go get some more bullets".

          Interesting.

Looks like they will work fine when sighted in. I have shot the 130 Sirocco in other 6.5s and it worked well. I also like it in the 308 and especially the 22-243. LRX I have not tried. For the Grendel I like the 129gr LRAB these days, but still hunt some with the 123gr A-Max which I still have several boxes of. I think 32gr CFE-223 is a bit hot with those bullets, but I am not shooting them in his gun either.
