    Primers

Is there a preferred small rifle primer for Grendel reloads?

Many use CCI 450's. Thicker cups on these should be less likely to slam fire. I'm sure there will be more opinions.

CCI 450 in my loads, never an issue.

CCI #41 is my go to primer for any semi-auto. I use CCI 450 for ball powders in bolt action rifles.

CCI 450, Remington 7 1/2 and CCI 41 are all good primers for the Grendel in ARs thicker cup primers.

For a bolt action any of the SRPs will work in except I would stay away from the Remington 6 1/2 SRP which is made for the small cases such as 22 Hornet, 218 Bee, 25-20 etc.

If you absolutely need good primers for your Grendel, there's these...

They're about a hundred bucks higher than the last time I bought a 1000 primer brick...

                WOW!!!

This price of $149 is higher than some of the prices on GunBroker!

                I'll pass on these.

Thanks for sharing the intel Old Bob.
