Powder Options

Thanks to those recommending the discord, I am gathering components, already got primers. Next is powder and most say xbr is way to go, but pretty hard to find. Curious what alternatives there are:

16" barrel
115-123 gr bullet (GD, SST, ELD, TAC-TX (barnes))
Hunting and target shooting up to 300 yds.
Live in SW Fl so temps can be an issue.

CFE223, AR comp, Lever for the 120-123's.
With any of these and proper safe load workups I'd say you should be able to get 123-120 class up to low 2400's, there's a node there for 16" barrels.
the 100 grainers, like ttsx should be able to go with xbr or H335 up to around low 2600's, again, there's a node there.

xbr and AR comp have better temp stability but if the temps are in a decent range your load should be able to do fine with any of them. Just do the load workup and the shooting in a range, ie, as in NOT - one at 50 */rainy and 1 at 95 */humid.

Temp is not the issue as much as large temp swings.

When I find a good powder that my barrel likes, then yes. Also only reloading 1 caliber right now

When I work up a load with a powder that is listed as used but the exact bullet, but its weoght, just start at start load for that weight?

Example, found Ramshot X-Termintor has 123 Scenars, but want to work with 123gr ELDs or SSTs.
