    Lt30

Anybody try out this new powder from accurate (Lt30) . How temp stable? Use it with light or heavy bullets?

    Run a search.

Four or five threads on LT30.

is there some kind of surplus dump of this powder going on somewhere? This is about the 3rd or 4th thread over the last few months on that relatively obscure powder by now. (serious question - hey, if there's a deal to be had, I'm game).

As to answers, it's a spotty choice as too fast and you'll be giving up a couple hundred FPS, but sure, it'll work. If your interest is game, it will hit lighter. If your interest is target shooting, the wind will blow it off target more and the elevation will take more. All of that can be accounted for, and if your interest is 100-200 yard shooting, it mostly won't matter much.

Also be aware, not the ideal choice for a gas-operated gun with a rifle or even middy gas system, as it'll be all burned out and pressure depleted earlier in the barrel. Carbine gas will work fine. Middy should... should.

Not so new, been around since at least 2015. Purported to be reasonably temp stable, humidity is another matter.

I have used LT 32 in .308 with 150 flat base Bergers, best thing I can say is that it's functional in a bolt gun, there are better options in Grendel and .308 IMHO, not to mention the cost.

Western has load data for Lt30 in the 6.5 Grendel. I have never used any Lt30.

Yep, cross reference with TAC, and it's about 200 fps slower. That's a lot.

It'll work - if it's what ya got. But I would pat the premium for it.

Probably a great 6.8 powder though.
