New to Reloading - Die Set Question

I just received my Rock Chucker Supreme Master set. Doing all of the reading I can and shopping for a few things at a time. Planning on reloading for hunting. Got myself 100 Nosler Partitions in 125 grain to get started. Question on dies. Trying to stay with RCBS equipment and they are out of Full Length die set. Are there any other die sets someone could recommend? I am reloading for an AR and Howa mini-action. Only plan to reload used brass I shoot from the specific rifles to lessen the chance of having to resize, i.e. only reload brass for the HOWA that was shot from the HOWA. Thanks.

    G'Day USAF,

Forster and Redding are both reputable brands.

You will have to resize for both guns, every time, to at least grip the next bullet. Two different types of action require two different types of sizing to maximise accuracy and reliability. Full-length for the AR with a shoulder bump of .003", and neck-sizing for the bolt gun with no bump (unless it's a sticky bolt). Use dedicated cases for each gun; i.e. keep the brass separate.

Those are good ones, I use the Hornady dies, a 2-die set ("custom", I believe). They are good IMO for anyone who wants to be accurate but is not necessarily a competition shooter. For competition you probably ought to go for top shelf everything... but the Hornady's have served me well over the years. The shell holder is #6 for the Grendel and 6 Arc.

I use mostly rcbs, but do have a couple hornady's and a couple forster dies, but mostly rcbs.

        RCBS 2-Die Set 6.5 Grendel

I like Hornady seating dies because of their bullet alignment sleeve.

ps, when I get shell holders I always get 2, one goes into the hand primer and one for my rock chucker.

I use Redding dIE sets MOSTLY But also RCBS and HORNADY and FORESTER sets with no problems !

And as Klem states keep your brass separate to the rifle it is shot if you can !

I use Redding dies and follow up the loading with the Lee Factory Crimp Die.

Forster work well for me in Grendel.

Thanks Klem. Keeping the AR and bolt brass separated was something I had read to ensure less resizing issues. I have a lot to learn and expect to have more questions when I get started. Thanks.

Thanks grayfox, I ordered a set of Hornady dies from MidSouth last night after I read they should be fine in the RCBS.

I was looking for the less grain Partitions. Was hoping for some 100 grain, but they are hard to find. Felt lucky to find the 125s. I can use them for my Creedmoor if I can find some 100 grains.

I think I watched a video on this. That sounds like a great idea. Being new, not sure what all to get. So, the bushing system and a separate pair of dies? I also have more money than time, so easier is better.
