I typed a long and convoluted questions, then thought about it and decided to simplify my question.
Ignore the Hornady part of title. :-)
I want to make 7.62x39 brass for .308 bullets & custom chambered rifle (.308 bore) using Lapua .220 Russian brass.
Lapua 7.62x39 brass uses LR primer and I want SR primer brass.
Will neck up in three steps, using PMA neck expanding mandrels, 22-6mm, 6mm-7mm & then 7mm- 30 cal
Then turn necks just enough to make all cases uniform.
Any issues or complications in making 7.62x39-.308 cases from Lapua .220 Russian cases?
