Trying to use what I have

I'm asking for opinions on figuring out a range plinking load using what I currently have available before going out and buying specific components for my new 6.5 Grendel AR15 build using an 18" AeroPrecision upper. I have Berger VLD 140 grain bullets (#26701) that I use for my 6.5CM loads as well as HS6, H1000 & H4350 Hodgdon powders and CCI-250 & Win-WSR primers. I only need to buy brass. I watched a Johnny Reloading Bench YT video (v=hXcVtEEtGJQ) where he worked loads for Hornady Match 140 grain BTHP bullets (#263355) using Alliant-2000MR and Accurate-2520 powders (both over 2000 fps). The biggest question here is about my available powders. Will any of these make sense?

I'd say that H4350 is the only one which would stand a chance of working. Even that one is way to slow. You should go out and buy some Leverevolution, cfe223 or a2520 in that order. Assuming you can find some.

      Alliant MR2000 is another possibility.

H4350 is really slow-burning for 6.5 Grendel, no published data.

Same with H1000. Those are for higher capacity, higher case diameter-to-bore ratio cartridges.

For 140gr Berger in 6.5 Grendel, you want AA2520, N540, CFE223, LeveRevolution, or Varget.

Bwild97 did a bunch of load work with 142gr SMK if you search the forum for it, using some different powders.

Barnes has published data for the 140gr Match Burner with Power Pro 1200-R, TAC, and H335 as well.

Speer has load data for 140 grain hot core in 6.5 Grendel. The powders they tested were Accurate 4064, AR Comp, Power Pro Varmint, CFE223, IMR8208XBR, TAC, N-135, Winchester 748.

Barnes has load data for their 140 grain match burner bullets in 6.5 Grendel. Barnes list these powders, PowePro 1200-R Benchmark, RL 10X, IMR8208XBR, H-335,TAC. I got the Speer and Barnes data free online.

It upsets me that you listed pistol powder and large rifle primers.

Please confirm any internet advice you get with a physical reloading book.

Sorry, I listed what I have, not what I intended to use.

I use Unique and CCI-200s in some of my .30-30 cast bullet loads. Works great! Those with cast bullet experience will understand.
