Good to see it is back. Between that and AAC, should help reduce the need for people to use nicer ammo for plinking. My grandpa's WWII Bomber Pilot memoir:

It used to be 15-20$ a box, looks like Midway is pricing it a lot higher. I'll be curious to see how much Academy and other places sell it for this time around. My grandpa's WWII Bomber Pilot memoir:

Midsouth Shooters currently is running a Veterans Day sale on Hornady Frontier. $20 a box. Cheapest I've seen factory ammo that wasn't Wolf or Privi in years.

I've bought some of this Frontier branded ammo before. Even though the head stamps say Hornady, I believe it's made in the Lake City ammunition plant in Missouri. If the brass for this 6.5 Grendel ammo is actually made there, it's gonna be good stuff & very re-loadable. Even if it's actual Hornady made brass, you'll get some use out of it. IIRC .. when I bought this before, being made at the LC plant was part of the description in it's sales pro-mo. I just don't remember which online vendor I got it from. It wasn't Mid-South though ...Originally posted by v4lu3s View PostIs the brass in the Frontier worth using for reloading? Given how much that once fired brass, much less new brass costs, $1 a round for usable range ammo to provide for my reloading better ammo SEEMS a good deal.I refuse to be victimized by notions of virtuous behavior.

Well Hell! I started this dang thread. All I had to do is read my OP to see where I ordered this ammo before. It was MdwayUSA. I knew there was something familiar about it.Originally posted by Old Bob View PostI've bought some of this Frontier branded ammo before. I picked up 200 rounds, both for the brass and for plinking/break in. I have purchased lake city primed brass from pulled rounds before and have had great success reloading it, 5+ reloads without annealing or any issues. This Frontier stuff isnt terribly accurate, but its getting better as the barrel breaks in, initially I was looking at 2.5 moa with hornady black, but it has tightened up and I am seeing 1.5 MOA with the Frontier. I cannot wait to get loading with the SST bullets I have waiting.Originally posted by Old Bob View PostI've bought some of this Frontier branded ammo before.
