Midway has 6.5 120gr and 123gr Blemished Bullets at great prices. I have purchased blems from them many times in the past and have been very pleased with the quality and accuracy is comparable to first run boxed bullets of similar or same type.

I was looking at those earlier also. I'm with Draco. Should be more than 29% off to make the risk worth it. If you toss 10-15 the savings pretty much does away. Personally I've never had to toss any but I bought them when they were 50% off.NRA life, GOA life, SAF, and TSRA

If anybody is interested, then these are the links to all the .264 blems that are on sale. It looks like the Barnes are about 30 percent off.
It's not hard to figure out which bullets are which. These can be useful for initial load development if nothing else. I can't find anything wrong with most of the blems I've bought from them before, but that could always change.

In case anybody is interested. I took out a random box of 123 grain blemished bullets from my order, which I receive overnight from Midway with standard shipping. I weight 100 bullets of the 123 grain .264 belms. I could see no cosmetic defects in any of them. the lowest weight was 122.6 grains, of which there were ten. The most common highest weight was 123.1 grains, which was 16 bullets. There were two at 123.2, and one outlier at 123.5. The rest were between 123.7 and 123.0. I am not dissatisified with the reduced cost. Others may have a different experience, and I accept that.Last edited by Guest; 06-20-2012, 02:36 AM.

well guys another little update on the blems. i ordered 500 and took a chance on them. They arrived today and to say the least im surprised.
Out the the 500 only one had a stain on the jacket, but weighed in at 123.0. The rest weighed from 122.7 to 123.6 but i had one little guy weigh in at 121.7.
326 of them weighed from 123.0 to 123.2
104 weighed 123.3 to 123.6
and that left 70 from 122.7 to 122.9
as a control i opened my last box of 100 amaxs from the store that were firsts and they ranged from 122.6 to 123.6.
I say not bad for blems.

Out of curiosity, have you pulled a sampling of base to ogive variance for comparison to variance by weight alone? Also, how does weight variation for Sierra 120/123 Match Kings and/or Nosler 120's compare? Also curious if the really savvy long range guys here pay more attention to weight, ogival relationship or neither for competitive purposes?

Grafs' list prices include shipping. They have 123 AMAX for 24.99 plus a $5 per order handling fee. This has typically been the way to go form me, especially if I'm ordering multiple boxes. The handling fee gets spread pretty thin.NRA life, GOA life, SAF, and TSRA
