I was thinking jump would cause it to take longer to stabilize But I guess the jump with no restriction would help velocity. I will try that method and report back to y'all

Negative on the stabilization and velocity. Having some jump tends to alleviate pressure spikes that happen when bullets are seated into the lands prior to firing. Not a big deal for a bolt rifle. Not a good thing for an AR-15 receiver.
