  • Midway Blemished Bullet sale

Got an email from Midway about the blemished bullet sale, 123 gr BTHP .264 bullets for $22.99 per 100. It has $34.99 crossed out, that is what the Sierrra Match kings sell for. I contacted them and they could not tell me who made them, not sure I want to buy an unknown but it does look like they could be the matchkings.

Blemished Match Bullets 264 Caliber, 6.5mm (264 Diameter) 123 Grain Hollow Point Boat Tail Box of 100

    They're 123gr SMK's.

Any issues with them other then "blemish"? Are they as accurate as unblemished?

There are guys that compete with them, and I've seen no issues with them personally.

Overpriced. Keep an eye on shootersproshop.com The same bullets were just on there for $14.95 per 100, but they sold out fast.

I picked up 400 from shooterproshop, they were Nosler. If these are Sierra and they appear to be I'll pick up some.

Picked up 500 of the "Sierra" Blems. Compared them to the non-blem 123gr SMKs and they are the same. As always..not sure what the classified them as blemished.

Got all excited over this and then remembered the 123 SMK's did not shoot that well for me. And that is the normal price for the 123g AMAX, which shoots better in my Grendels anyway!!!

If it was the 120g SMK I would be more excited.

I agree. The 123 SMK's are OK in my rifle but the 120's or 123 Amax's do much better.

Check back there daily. Right now they have non-blem 140 HPBT $40 for 250.

Since posting this and reading more about the performance with bullets and Grendel rifles it seems the 120 SMK are a better choice. The 123 AMAX's are $22 a box and the 120 Sierra Matchkings are $24 a box. I'll try those along with the 123 Nolsers I picked up and see how they perform. Still waiting on my J&T kit to ship.
                          Thanks, Ken
