  • Primers for wolf and hooray brass

I know this subject has been beat to death but I can not find the answer iam looking for. I have some federal 210 large rifle primers laying around and was wanting to use them withe the wolf brass along with 8208 XBR and 123gr nosler cc bullets. Will these primers work???? Also what is the recommended primers for the horady brass using same powder and bullets??? STANDARD OR MAGNUM????

The recommended primer for all small primer brass is a Small Rifle Magnum. Some have used others, but that is the recommended primer.

Large primer brass, (Wolf) may use any large rifle standard primer, though most use Wolf.

USE CAUTION WITH LOAD DEVELOPMENT, REGARDLESS!

Thanks, I can't find any reload data for the nobler 123 cc hpbt. I need a starting point, or if anybody has any data they would like to share for this bullet.

Use the data for the 123 Sierra or 123 Hornady, drop down 2-3 grains, and work from there.

I have the latest book from Nosler. I will post the data for the 123 HPBT later tonight when I have a chance.

I apologize for the format here, it is in a PDF file and I am inept with computers. Also, I woke up with my back in rough shape and am loaded up on doctor smack. With moderator approval I will find a way over the weekend to post all of the applicable pages from the book
