I have both of them, and the Grendel is much lighter. The .260 Rem is no joke though for shooting from 700-1200+ yards.

No arguments here from me about the .260 my friend was shooting without making any windage or elevation adjustments.

We were shooting of the hood of a truck with sandbags in a light Mist.

It was pretty difficult to even see the target with all the moisture in the lens.

I'm just happy that I hit paper at all much less the great group size.

I can definitely say I'm impressed with the new 123 sst round.

I still can't talk to much trash he does have 4 hog kills this weekend to my one with a bow :/

That's a good day at the range and hogs. Sound like the 123 SST is shaping up to be a real winner.

The 123gr SST appears to me that it shoots as accurate and same POI as the AMax. I can't wait till next hunting season to try one. I was a little worried since my friend bought me a dozen boxes of this stuff. He thought it was the 123 gr Amax bullet. Ha, I couldn't be happier now!!

That is good to know warthog as any develpoement work with loads using the A Max can have the sst substituted with no work-up needed other than checking zero.

On a side note, nearly all Hornady loads shoot sub 1" groups at 100 yards with my 6.5mm PCC variant AR-15.
I am hoping that the 123gr. Hornady SST will be just as good or even better.
