    I need a load for a 130gr Accubond bullets

I am looking for a load for 130gr Accubond bullets out of my 6.5 Grendel. I want to hunt with this bullet and shoot long range with it. Can someone on here please help me with this. I have been reloading for 10 years and have other calibers that I for load. That will shoot half inch or better. I just can't find any power recommendation and loads for this bullets.

I use 29.0 grains of BLC2 for my 129gr SST loads. Should be close enough to start at 28 and work up to 30.5 grains. My loads do about 2320fps from an 18" barrel.

Welcome aboard! Do you have the 6.5 Grendel Reloading Handbook yet? It has 4 different 129-130gr bullets, with 12 different powders on pages 41 and 42.
These are start loads 10% below max:

      129gr SST
      BL-C(2) Start load 28.0gr
      AA2520 start load 26.0gr

      130gr Norma GT
      BL-C(2) Start load 26.0gr

      130 Swift Scirroco
      130gr VLD

All these bullets are shaped differently than the 130gr Nosler AB, in that they have more of a secant ogive, while the Nosler AB has a tangent ogive, which will affect your maximum allowable COL, and your case capacity.

N540 seems to be one of the best powders for velocity, and is a small extruded kernel. If you have N540, I would start with 26.5gr.

Win 748, Varget, Western Big Game, and N140 are also listed. Big Game can start at 28.0gr. All these loads are maxing out at between 27.0gr (Varget), and 30.0gr (Big Game).

With the Grendel, work up using .3gr or .4gr increments. I recommend against using .5gr increments in such a small case, so .4gr is the most I will do. Do you have a chronograph? You'll have a hard time judging where you are at pressure-wise without one.

        I do have a chronograph and I don't have a 6.5 grendel handbook.
I have worked up some loads with 140 sst, 140gr & 130gr bergers and 130gr tsx fb. bullets.
the 130gr tsx fb 5 shot half inch group at 100 yds with 24.5 varget col at 2.300 velocity at 2255,2246.2219,2240,2207. but can't cycled from the magazine.
I seated them down to 2.280 col and the group opened up 1" and the velocity slowed down to 2122,-,2299,2069,2114
varget is the only powder that I have from your list.
Can help with some other and powders

Varget is one of the powders in AA's data for the 130gr Swift Scirocco. There's a sticky here on the forum with links to the different manufacturer's published load data, but the AA data is the only one with bullet weights over 129gr.

            Alexander Arms http://www.alexanderarms.com/images/pdfs/grendel_reloading.pdf Hodgdon http://data.hodgdon.com/cartridge_load.asp Ramshot 6.5 Grendel (For AR-15 Style Weapons) Barrel: 20" ■ Twist: 1-10" ■ Primer: WIN WSR ■ Bullet Diameter .264" X-Terminator 85 SIE HP 28.9 2,702 32.1 2,980

Try the Varget starting with 24.5gr, then work up to 24.8gr, 25.1gr, 25.4gr, 25.7gr, 26.0gr. Do two batches like that and see if there is a point where the velocity starts to depart from the trend.

Make sure the chrono is 15ft from the muzzle, unless you have the Magnetospeed. I think you will get good results from Varget as far as speed goes with the 130gr Nosler AB, just creep up with it, and be prepared to stop when you see a strange velocity jump.

That example you showed when you changed your seating depth says something went awry, because your extreme spread went all over the place.

I can load the 129gr SST to 2.305" IIRC, but it has a totally different ogive profile than the 130gr Nosler AB. I'd be surprised if you were able to load past 2.245" with the 130 AB.
