I added a little bit of info to the dedicated Grendel bullet thread about Lehigh Defense but felt I needed to start a thread about this company separately. They make a 95 grain bullet for .264 caliber rifles that is lead free and sells for $29/100. Great price for mono bullets. All reports I could find on their bullets were very positive. Hope you find this helpful. Look here for info on bullet and company. http://www.lehighdefense.com/index.p...-26-42_-detail

Good find, Sarge, very intriguing. I've known about Lehigh for quite a while, have checked out their website, but somehow this escaped me. These would, at the very least be worth testing. And the price is less than match HPBTs!
I just read about Sierra making polymer tipped MatchKing bullets for Black Hills. The tip, alone, supposedly increased the BC in M118LR from 0.496 to 0.535 and Mk262 from 0.373 to 0.420.
Question: What BC could Lehigh get with their 95gr 6.5mm 0.374 BC bullet by adding a polymer tip?:: 6.5 GRENDEL Deer and Targets :: 6mmARC Targets and Varmints and Deer :: 22 ARC Varmints and Targets

HANKA, I am unable to answer your question. I just thought that someone versed in the proper language on bullets might want to contact them and be able to voice what we need for the Grendel. Who knows what could happen. They represent themselves as a small company with precision machines and testing facilities that pay close attention to user needs. They have done 300BLK specific bullets so why not the Grendel?

Just ordered 200. BC is listed as .374 G1, which is higher than a 100gr NBT. Gonna spit these out with a fast powder, since there are relief bands cut into the bearing surface.
Wish I would have seen the deal for 250 bullets for only $71.22.

I'm thinking 2750-2800fps from a 16" barrel. Maybe 2850 from an 18" barrel. We'll see. Shorter solids with relief bands do better with faster powders. These are shorter than a Barnes 100gr TTSX, but with a higher BC, so it will be interesting.
These are hollow points, so not AP. Nose deforms rapidly.NRA Basic, Pistol, Rifle, Shotgun, RSO

These dont expand per se, after hitting fluids they shatter. However when they look at the damage on the Gel Blocks, there are 3 larger sections doing terminal damage and lots of smaller pieces and the base continues for deep penetration.12.5" SBR Grendel - Need Barrel

Been a fan of the Grendel from the very beginning and haven't second guessed that choice one time.

If I read their summary of how the bullet works correctly, they designed an all-copper bullet to function like the Berger VLD hunting bullet. I think that is why I did not get excited about them when I first saw their page a few months ago -- they appear to not function like the TTSX on game.
Mot interesting, though, is the price. It appears to be not much more than bullets we would consider for practice, plinking, and varminting. So, if one feels that the penetration seen by the TTSX or the GS Custom bullet is needed for their style of medium game hunting, the Lehigh bullet should do very well for everything else.
I would also be surprised if the mid-range trajectories are all that much different if both are sighted to the same point of impact at 300 yards.shootersnotes.com

I'm not entirely excited about using brass. Am I mistaken in thinking it's more brittle than copper, or copper-zinc alloy? I think they WANT their brass projectiles to shatter, whereas I still believe in mushrooming.
