Looks very nice: Shilen barrel blank, 18" intermediate gas system, threaded 5/8x24.

I had one of their Ultramatch barrels in 5.56 and it was a great shooter, a real quality barrel.
Always good to get another choice in quality Grendel barrels.

I just installed a .223W 18" Intermediate Ultramatch in my coyote rig. It is a VERY nice barrel. Can't wait to see the reports on the 22" Grendel.

I have one inbound, should be here this week. I have 130gr Berger Tac Hybrid hand loads, Hornady 123gr SST factory ammo and PPU 120gr ammo to try. Will also be shooting with my Surefire suppressor. I have had good luck with Rainier's Ultramatch barrels in other calibers so here's hoping!

I've been curious about that barrel. It's priced right and if you do there saving program you get a better price. If you buy from Rainier Arms alot you can't go wrong.

Are these barrels coming with the saami specd chamber are one of the varient chambers.

I'm almost positive they're SAAMI-spec 6.5 Grendel chambers, but I sent that question to the guys at Rainier just to be sure.

I am excited to see the results. I have had my eye on one of these barrels since they came out. Unfortunately finances will not allow me to start another rifle build for a while so I have been keeping my eye out to see if anyone has a good experience with these barrels.

Spoke with them and ordered the 18" yesterday. They said if you make a note on the order (if you send a bolt in or order one at the same time as the barrel) they will chose one headspace-wise.

The young bolts are unobtanium, so I went with the JP Enhanced.
