    Mags - C-Products, ASC, Elander, ?

New to the Grendel. Should be building it up next Saturday.

As far as mags go, are any of these better (reliability wise) than another?

I have a couple of ASC and C Products 10 rounders on order. I chose 10 rounders because they are easier to maneuver when shooting prone.

Buy you mags only from Alexander Arms. They make sure they meet specs and work properly.

Im useing c products mags10 rounders not sure where they were purchased from due to them coming with the rifle when I bought it. I have used all three while hunting and at the range and have not had one issue with them at all, over the course of around 500 rounds now and not one problem, but again I dont know where they were bought from. hope this helps.

I bought four ASC mags and am not impressed. One wouldn't fit in the magwell. The other three fit fine but have a hard time feeding rounds from one side of the mag. My friend got the same magazines and has the same problem. I just need a couple that will be reliable. I'm interested in hearing others experiences so I know what to try next.

I don't have issues with any of them. I saw some old CProducts many years ago that had one bad lip, but haven't seen that in a long time.

I have newer Cproducts and Elanders now.

I have several C Products and ASC mags. None work with more than 6 or 7 rounds.

I have 4 elander mags. They work perfect fully loaded.

I have ASC mags and haven't had any problemss with them. I can put 24 rounds in the 26 round mags and they work flawlessly. I put 8 rounds in the 10round mags.

Remember that if you come across any straight body mags that are advertised as more than a 10rd mag, like the CProducts 17rd, they were never meant to be born.

AA asked for a curved magazine from the get go, and got a pallet or two of those straight mags, which failed function and feeding right off the bat, and were rejected.

If you load them with 7-10rds, depending on your particular receiver set and barrel extension, they will feed fine as a 7-10rd mag.

I shot 25+ rounds through a new E-Lander 10 round mag yesterday with perfectt functioning. It fits snuggly in my Mega forged lower with audible lock up and drops free. My 10 to 27 round C Products mags with moderate use have all had multiple failures at times so I'd estimate 90-95% reliability at best. They are not suitable for duty or hunting IMO. Twenty five or so rounds is not much of a test and I have not used the 17 or 24/25 Elanders that also came with my upper but will comment later after these see more use with load development and play.

I have a couple of ACS 10 round mags that work very well. I purchased them from ACS directly and haven't had any issues with them, however I usually only load them with 5 rounds at a time. I will start shooting 10 round groups and see if they still work as good as they do now.

I use AR Stoner mags, both 10rd and 25rd. All have worked flawlessly in two different rifles.

I would like to try one of the e-lander mags but not with $16.00 shipping from AA. Any other options out there for e-lander mags?

                            +1 on the shipping fees.

? so they test each mag? please, asc mags from AA are the same from asc..I run acouple elander's and 3-4 asc's all seem to work fine. my asc didn't come from AA, so they are prob not to spec. but with todays tolerances widening in manufacturing there are going to be some out of spec so to say, when we are talking $15-20 pieces
