I just saw on the Olympic Arms website that they are now offering 5 different models of rifles in 6.5 Grendel now. They will be sold exclusively through World Wide Arms. No other info about chamber, twist rate or anything else. I have an Olympic Arms K8 Target Match rifle in 5.56 that has been extremely accurate and dependable.

These have been out a few months as I noticed them for sale on gunbroker. I would hope Olympic is using a SAAMI chamber since these are marketed as 6.5 Grendel. Back in the late 80's Olympic was one of the first to offer AR-15 kits and individual parts. My biggest complaint with Olympic barrels was the use of minimum spec chambers. The chambers were so tight they would commonly prevent some factory ammo from chambering. This is not a good thing for any weapon which might be used for self defense. A local SO bought a few Olympics and we had to ream the chambers to make them reliable with factory ammo let alone reloads. If the chamber got a little dirty you had an inoperative rifle. All the Olympic chrome moly barrels I ever shot were accurate even after they had the chambers reamed.

I have one of those k8 oly grendels with 20 in. bull stainless barrel and I am pleased with it. I am still working up handloads, but it really does like the hornady 95 gr. v-max over 8208 xbr averaging .2 to .5 moa. Factory sst shoots .9 to 1.1 moa. and amax 1.25 moa. The sierra 120 mk over 8208 xbr shoots .7 to .9 moa. I don't know the exact chamber they use, but it has a long throat with the sst bullet contacting the rifling at 2.342 c.o.a.l. the rifle has good fit and finish, the trigger was very heavy but very little creep, I put in a geissele ssa-e and its a pleasure to shoot with very little recoil.
