Anyone think I will regret going with the 16" AA barrel over an 18" barrel like I originally was planning on going with? Really like the 16" AA barrel from all the reviews I have read about it. When I started piecing parts for this Grendel build, I had my eyes set on buying an 18". I don't think I will miss those extra 2". Right?
Was originally going to go with an 18" barrel...

I am very pleased with my AA 16" barrel. It is light and very easy to carry. It is also very accurate. I have not shot past 200 with it yet and am liking it very much. I am still working up loads with it and learning it. I can't see where two inches more would improve on a great product.
Good luck with your new build.May each day bring you at least one pleasure.

I originally wanted an 18" or a 20". I put the 18" AA barrel/bolt combo in my cart at Midway (2009) and went to check out...gone.
Quickly went back to see what was available, and it was either 16" or 24", so I got the 16". It has exceeded my expectations by far.
I got several 18" later though.Last edited by LRRPF52; 05-03-2016, 03:57 PM.NRA Basic, Pistol, Rifle, Shotgun, RSO

I also echo others that I have no regrets of going with the 16 from AA.
I wanted something lighter than my 24 inch barrel to get my wife introduced to the grendel. I have a couple barrels ordered on the Faxon group buy. Patience ran out and I selected the AA 16 Lite and have nothing but joy in shooting it. Accuracy is impressive.
