I'll argue to some extent.
Most use 110 grain for 300bo, which will give you 2200 with a 10" barrel.
It's certainly cheap to reload. All you have to do is farm some 556 brass at the range, stuff it with any 308 bullet.
Barnes TACtx is an amazing bullet for expansion.

I will concede that 6.5 beats 300 Bo for supersonic, but the Blackout was designed as subsonic being its focal point. That's where it shines. There are bullets made for 300 BO to expand at subsonic. 220 grains? Yes please.

My answer: Get both!

I like the Grendel, and the 300 Blackout, my Grendel has a 16" barrel, and my Blackout has a 10.5"
