    6.5 buffer and spring recommendation?

What buffer, spring, tube assembly do yall recommend for 20" rifle length gas system 6.5 Grendel?

The buffer tube determines the buffer and spring. If you choose a rifle length buffer tube use a rifle buffer and rifle length spring. If your using an adjustable gas block and carbine buffer tube you use a carbine spring and supplied carbine buffer. If your not using an adjustable gas block and the gun is over gassed you can try to use a heavier buffer like Spike's T-2 or H-2. I have two 16" 6.5 Grendels with fixed gas blocks and they both run fine with carbine buffer tube, carbine spring and carbine buffer. I've tried the H-2 buffer and T-2 buffer and neither are needed but I primarily shoot reloads.

If your planning on using a suppressor I suggest you use an adjustable gas block. Some of the 18" barrels are over gassed and an adjustable gas block can be desireable.

I like the JP SCS with Carbine Receiver Extension Tube. Very smooth.

Next would be a rifle buffer/spring with rifle RET.

Next would be an A5 with one of the A5 buffers, either the A5H1 or A5H2.

Next would be carbine RET with MGI RRB and carbine spring.

Next would be carbine RET with H3 buffer/carbine spring.
