2018 6.5 Grendel Deals

Just added up roughly $325 in parts real world shopping in that deal assuming the included barrel is worth$100.
My question is the barrel worth keeping or should I plan on replacing budget wise. Thanks

No idea who makes that barrel. If I liked the Grendel round overall, then, yeah, I'd probably pick up a group buy barrel later. If only because longer-reaching cartridges generally require better barrels and better glass.

I've been window shopping for the side charging upper that Santa didn't give me but have found that just about everybody is "out of stock". Last Sunday I was surfing through Midway's site and found their AR Stoner SCU on clearance for $155. Quickly ordered it as they said only 14 left and got free shipping also. Arrived Friday and have it mated up with the 24" 6.5 Grendel barrel I got on sale at Brownells last fall. Still have several parts to get to finish this build. Midway dropped the clearance sale after I put in my order and the side charger is back to the regular price of $239.

Good to know. I know their BCG and the Stoner BCG appear to be the same but I wasnt sure about the uppers.

I will find out as I ordered one and a firing pin last night, cheap enough to have in my kit

my BCA 6.5 Grendel bolt head for $19.95 and a new firing pin for it arrived in the mail today, I just checked how the cartridge sets in the bolt face and it looks right, so now I need ejector, extractor, pins and springs and a bolt carrier unless I want to use the one out of my DPMS Oracle bolt

SWFA has the 3-15x42 SFP cope on sale for 399.99.
