When I got into the grendel I bought a full rifle with mags from a member of this board.

It had cproducts 10 rounds never had a issue with them, sold that upper and built my first upper with a jp barrel and went with asc mags I got from PF.

Those are 5 rounders all ran perfect except one that I just had to fix due to it falling out my bag in the back of my truck when I cam back from my last trip to the range a few days ago.

We have been getting a bunch of rain and the mag has been out in the weather in the back of my truck till today when I found it.

Cleaned it off dryed it up and sure enough it wouldn't even feed a single round correctly, so I fixed it took the old spring out, 30 round spring that has been compressed to fit and hold 5 rounds, replaced it with a spring from a gen 3 pmag 10 rounder I had as a extra back up and bam working like new and now holds and feeds 9 rounds of grendel perfectly.

I also use the 24 round elander mags for home defense and not one issue with them as well.

Have 4 10 round gen 3 pmags that I modified to hold 5 rounds of grendel that work perfectly as well.

As far as mags go in my mind from the ones I have used the elander and asc mags are the two best factory developed grendel mags.

Another vote for C Products. Never have had a problem straight outta the package; no tweaking or anything.

Any place to get Eleanders, ASC or CProducts ~15-~24rnd from a place that are decent prices for the mags and also for shipping? I find a mag for $18 and then the shipping is $14. I need a place that ships USPS!!!

Brownell’s is the cheapest for E-Lander 6.5/Grendel mags if you qualify for C&R/Mil/Le discount. Brownell’s has a code for free shipping if you spend $49 or more. Brownell’s also have a couple capacity of CPD mags in stock. Midway has E-Lander/AA marked 6.5 Grendel mags in 4 and 24 round capacity in stock plus AR Stoner which are ASC in stock.

Shop magazines (663) at Brownells, including rifle, handgun, and shotgun magazines, as well as magazine accessories for reliable feeding and performance.

Gun Mag Wharehouse has ASC 6.5 Grendel mags in stock.

JSE Surplus has 6.5 Grendel mags in stock.

I would advice against the cproducts defense high cap mags.

The 28 round mag to be specific.

I have used their 5 rounders when I first got into the grendel and they worked fine just like my asc mags have but yesterday I found two 28 round cpd mags at a local shop new still in the pack.

Shop owner said if I buy one for 10 bucks he will give me the other so I said sure.

Both of those mags are the biggest piece of junk I have ever messed with since getting into the grendel.

I destroyed 60 bucks worth of ammo trying to tweak one of them into working and for giggles loaded and the other mag to see if it would work, yep you got it junk as well.

If you need high cap mags elanders first asc second I have both and other then needing to tweak one asc mags lip they have all ran great.

Never know maybe I got two junk mags and other cpd high cap mags are good but I'm not willing to chance it again, I know elander and asc mags work.

Anyone who orders from LaRue should grab a trigger or two also. https://www.larue.com/products/larue...bt-2s-trigger/

                  Good price on E-Lander 17-round Mags = $18.95
Great price on trigger = $87

                  Two mags + trigger + $7.95 shipping = $132.85

I have a c products 10round that has about 100 rounds through it with not one issue. Got it on ebay for around 17 shipped. Was the cheapest I could find at the time.
