Toolcraft 6.5 Grendel BCG anyone with some experience with them???

Just curious if anyone is using or has used the Toolcraft 6.5 Grendel BCG?
They look nice, but I'm wondering about tooling marks and extractor life.
    Thanks for any input.

Toolcraft is gtg as said, mine perform great. Arm or Ally's website, https://www.armorally.com/shop/toolc...carrier-group/, has some info on coatings and the warranty. May be worth taking a look at while you consider vendors.

yea this is the ones I was looking at. I've had nitride BCGs and they are nice. they have a good price on them.
Brownells is offering a Nitride 6.5 G also. They wouldn't say who the mfg was.

Last report TC was using 2.810” length bolt (+or- tolerances) so standard Milspec firing pin should be gtg.

You may be right. They just have an image next to the bcg that says it's backordered. But other places says in stock. Go get one!

Hmmmm. I didn't know they had different bolt lengths. I was more concerned about the face being .136.
What's the bolt length issue? and who was making them just TC or others?

Good to know the Brownells looks like a Toolcraft. I can get them about $1 cheaper than the Toolcraft, but I order from Brownells a lot and can get free shipping.

Just so you know. I just measured my Brownells Grendel bcg and they were the shorter ones. Firing pin measured 3.2665 and bolt measured 2.7975. I also have a toolcraft and the bolt measured 2.81 and firing pin was standard length as well.

When AA chose the .136 bolt face depth over the 5.56/223 bolt face depth of .125 AA lengthened the 5.56/223 2.80” bolt to 2.81” to permit the same firing pin. A couple manufactures did not add .01 to the 6.5 Grendel bolt length. This can result in excessive firing pin protrusion. Minimum FP protrusion is .028” maximim is .036”. Tolerance can stack but if the combined difference is .008 or more from spec between FP and bolt length there can be issues.
