Planning my first Grendel build - Bolt Carrier Question

Hello all. I'm gearing up to build my first 6.5G AR and I'm beyond stoked about it. I'm planning to get one of the Monster 12 barrels from the group buy but I'm stuck trying to decide on bolts and carriers.

If you were building a 6.5G and trying not to spend extra money, would you get the Monster bolt?
If so, which carrier would you put it in?
Or would you just grab an assembled Grendel BCG?
If your vote is for the BCG, any one in particular?

Sorry for all of the questions and thanks a bunch for your advice!

    yes get the monster bolt.
And use a standard 556 firing pin.
And use any 556/223 carrier you like... the other bcg parts, are all standard.
I say firing pin especially b/c some bcg complete groups have different dimensions for the bolt face depth/bolt length and for the firing pin length.
A monster bolt and a std 556/223 firing pin, and the rest you are gtg.

this way you only need to get the monster bolt, and can scrounge the remaining parts from an on-hand 556 AR bcg.

        Agree with above.

Monster bolt and drop it in a righttobeararms lowmass bcg.

Awesome. Thanks for all of the help! I was liking the idea of getting the matching bolt so that's an easy sell. I'll get that sucker ordered now and poke away at the rest of the build as funds allow. Keeping funds for an Energetic Vox S can on deck for when one pops up in stock but after that I'll be off to the races.

A5BLASTER, extra thanks for the low mass mention. I haven't looked into any low mass BCG's yet but that will be the route I go for sure. It never hurts to have less weight and recoil!

Thanks again everyone. Excited to become a member of the horde some day!

Aw thanks. Unfortunately for my wallet, this build is barreling along. The Right to Bear lightweight nitride carrier is on sale. Might as well grab that now.
