I've decided I'm going to build out some stripped lowers into some basic "M4" style rifles in 6.5 Grendel as iron sighted Wolf blasters, but I'm having trouble finding anything like that in stock where I would normally look (BCA, Anderson). Does anyone know any other vendors that carry that or a similar upper? I'd settle for just the barrel assembly with the pinned FSB and handguard retainers/delta rings. I can build free float guns all day, but I'm just not equipped to drill and pin the FSB's myself.
Looking for a couple of very basic 6.5 Grendel uppers

Grendel is hamstrung by a pinned FSB, probably why you don't see them. You can have your barrel drilled, but I would ask, why? Any cheap 5.56 "M4 blaster" upper will do what a blaster 6.5G will, save about 200 yards... With iron sights, I doubt you're seriously going to that level anyway.
I thought about it myself a while back, when planning my truck gun. I really like the plain Jane M4 look. I just couldn't get over the depletion of potential the FSB brings to it. Free float is the way to go here.
I too, wanted irons and light, short. Pistol was thus my plan (save the tax, and use it as it should be). Cheap was the goal. I found some good used parts, bought an upper, a GB faxon, and went to work. Came out pretty good eventually. IMO.
It doesn't look exactly like this today, but it gives an illustration of my thoughts.

Regardless of my opinion or thoughts, it's your idea man. Do what you think best. It's a Grendel so it'd still be awesome. I just don't think you're going to find many, if any, pinned FSB grendel barrels. No demand, maybe?Nothing kills the incentive of men faster than a healthy sense of entitlement. Nothing kills entitlement faster than a healthy sense of achievement.

Well I ditched everything in 5.56/.223 couple years ago, so I'm just staying with Grendel out of commonality with my other rifles. I can have someone like ADCO drill and pin an FSB for me, but it's going to at about $125 per barrel I have done. If I can avoid that cost I would much prefer it; that's almost another 500rds of ammo right there.

I have a red dot sight and irons I throw on it from time to time. Typical accuracy with Wolf steel case is about 2.5 MOA. Wolf ammo is very inconsistent ammo for me regardless of which 6.5 Grendel AR-15 I use.
The carbine gas system is not quite as versatile as mid length gas 16” 6.5 Grendel IMHO. I have no regrets buying this barrel as I don’t use a suppressors.
Here is a picture of my 5.56/223 AR-15, 6.5 Grendel and 22 LR AR-15. I use the rimfire AR-15 as a cheap training rifle and plinker.

DEZ Arms makes a clamp on fixed front sight. I put one on a 22 LR AR-15 and used Loctite and it has never loosened.

RGuns has nice set-screw type FSB?s for like $25 bucks (front sight parts included). The set-screw under the swivel lines up with the dimple on most barrels. I used the last one on a Grendel M4orgery.
A bit of Loctite 638 on the FSB rings and Rocksett on all 5 set-screws I have zero concerns about it moving...ever...
