    Who makes .264 LBC barrels

I know that BHW made .264 barrels...and I believe Wilson. Any other companies offer .264 LBC barrels?

    How did the shoot?

Les Baer still sell the 264 LBC which he says is optimized throat for the Sierra 123 grain Match King. Model 1 sales sells a 6.5 Sporter which has a traditional throat. The Satern/Liberty Grendel II chamber is a standard throat with a long free bore to accept longer heavier bullets.

The SAAMI 6.5 Grendel chamber uses a compound angle throat which AA claimed achieved better accuracy with a wider variety of bullets. In recent years most manufactures of barrels which shoot 6.5 Grendel ammunition are using the SAAMI chamber.

Black Whole Weaponry/Columbia River Arms have sold a lot polygonal style 3 R barrels (IIRC) with 264 LBC chamber. Specialized Dynamics, AR Performance, Raineer and a few other manufacturers over the years sold barrels that shot 6.5 Grendel ammunition but didn’t use the SAAMI 6.5 Grendel chamber.

I think it is difficult to make a blanket statement on the accuracy of any rack grade barrels accuracy. There have been members who have had a wide variety of results with various barrels that shoot 6.5 Grendel ammunition. My opinion is there is nothing wrong with 264 LBC chamber and very accurate barrels can be manufactured using this chamber/throat. Les Baer has a reputation for selling high quality accurate barrels. Not every barrel sold with a 264 LBC chamber can produce the results of a Les Baer barrel.

All my 6.5 Grendel barrels are SAAMI chamber and have consistently shot a variety of bullets accurately. The only non SAAMI barrel I’ve been around are the Brownell’s Liberty Grendel II barrels.

Local guy is selling one and he doesn't know anything about it beside it being a .264 LBC that he bought 3 years ago. Has rust on it...so I'm asking him to inspect the chamber.

Thanks for the info...still debating if I should take chance on buying it.

IMO doesn't sound like a good option... he bought it but claims ignorance... without knowing more about the individual I would certainly hesitate, I like to get things from people who are knowledgeable about what they're selling.

Today like Vascar says there are lots of options out there for a good barrel. Even for great barrels.

The barrel is what translates your intentions to the bullet, in many ways it IS the gun... so don't go cheap/unknowns with it. Get generic handguards or bling or etc stuff but keep the priority items top-notch: barrel, trigger, optics.
An "indifferent" barrel will still cost you, although in time and money that will mount up more or less unseen to you.

Most Black Hole Weaponry barrels are laser engraved/stamped or otherwise marked with chamber/caliber and manufacturer name. I’d be hesitant to buy a barrel sight unseen with so little info. If the seller provided pictures of all barrel marking and good photos of the barrel interior and exterior then I might change my mind.

If it’s a black hole weaponry barrel, a casual glance down the bore should tell you everything you need to know. You won’t see lands and grooves, at all. What you WOULD see might look almost like a smooth bore barrel, with barely perceptible signs of a spiral twist.

I passed on barrel as seller said surface rust, but it had a lot of rust on threads. I'll stick to buying mags and ammo.

              Appreciate all of the info.

nitrided barrels don't rust. SS barrels can rust although it should be really rare, rust on these would indicate poor care thereof... so this was a good move on your part I'd say... lots of good barrels out there when you want to pick one up.
