Bear Creek Arsenal now posting pictures of groups at 100 yards on their website

I have had horrible results with two BCA barrels

Looks like a match grade ammo MOA guarantee wasn?t enough so now they are posting center to center caliper photos in every Grendel product page.

They posted a .158 ? group at 100 yards with 130 gr Federal GMB

Who can duplicate their results using a barrel or upper purchased after today ?

    Post your group photos here!

I?m in this for consumer education purposes as I vowed to never again buy BCA barrelS

Well the way they operate, if it doesn't shoot under MOA, they take it back and send you another one. And another! And another! Then maybe they'll give you your money back. (minus shipping and your time).
From everything I hear, they have a pretty good Customer Service operation. It doesn't make up for their lack of QA which is where any business model should start from first. They want the sales first and foremost and that advertising does the trick. My first 6.5 Grrr was a BCA and it was a POS. Period. It's hard as hell to get a top shelf rifle to shoot 0.158" MOA. Especially with factory ammo, match grade or not! Some BCA's do well. Others OK. Most...............
It would be interesting to see if this "new" under MOA guarantee is a new commitment to quality or more of the same BS. Thanks for posting this tidbit.

        I see a .5675 group on their 20" stainless. 3-shot group.

Besides, I don't think a MOA guarantee is worth anything.

Can you make it shoot one sub-MOA 3-shot group...probably. Can you do it consistently in 5-shot groups...HIGHLY doubtful.

So is it a sub-MOA barrel or not? BCA would say yes...all of us would say no.

If I wasn't already full from dinner I'd ask for the popcorn!!!
BCA as an abbreviation can stand for all sorts of things but Quality is not one of them.

I looked at the link, noticed the barrel is 6.5 Grendel II. I copied this description. I guess they gave up on SAAMI, requires to much QC for BCA.

“ BCA AR-15 Complete Upper Assembly, 16” 4150 Parkerized Heavy Barrel, 6.5 Grendell II, Carbine Length Gas System, 1:8 Twist w/ 15” MLOK Split Rail”

I own several BCA uppers. The receiver and handguard are good quality.BCG wasn’t bad either.Barrels is another story. My 24”Stainless BCA 6.5 Grendel barrel would do close to moa w/123g Hornady ELDM handloads. And it took a lot of work to get it there, probably 500 down the pipe. One day I decided to replace the barrel w/a 24” Bartlien heavy barrel.Had to get a .936 gb.Kept the same tube. The Bartlein barrel shoots sub moa all day.And required no break in.And it shoots everything.
At that time,I owned another 24” BCA nitrite barreled upper that I had purchased together.Couldnt get better than 1.5” after 200+ rds.Sent it to BCA and they sent me a new stainless barreled upper.I sold it.Now I,Have gotten BCA uppers on sale since, and sold the barrel as new for $75 and gotten either a Criterion or Bartlien.I won’t own cheap barrels anymore.Too much of a waste in ammo and effort if they don’t work out.And usually, they won’t.

Lol. I’ve got a good bull barrel 24” for these guys that are looking. I’ll trade it straight across for a 16” or light 18”. Way less hassle than dealing with that many returns.

I have no personal experienced with BCA however, one of the guys that shoots in my Thursday league has had nothing but nightmares from his BCA upper...... He tried two different new 223 uppers and you can not imagine the problems he has been having. He is a new AR shooter and was really disgusted. He is shooting one of my old 223 uppers that has been abused for many, many years.......and still shoots great.

The extra money you spend on a decent upper really pays dividends.

If I owned BCA I would (other than fire the entire QA department), sell the assembly minus the barrels for whatever $$..... and make a lot of money.
                        LOL!!!
Btw I have owned them and I echo the poor results from the barrels.

You've seen those videos where someone is at the top of a building and they throw a basketball down at the little, tiny basketball hoop on the playground way below — and make it? So, yeah, that's the video you post to the internet.

If you can get that size of a group with a BCA, just think what you can do with the Federal 130 GMB in your rifle! (130 Barnes match burner).
Looks like next time I order some bullets the 130 MB will be added to the list.
