Until I bought a bunch of really (REALLY) cheap E-lander 17's from LaRue. No idea what the deal is, but those things are jam-o-mattic problem problem magazines. Where the round doesn't rise enough to feed into the gun,and just nose-craters. Not sure how to even fix that. Apparently, bending the lips out a bit, is a thought?
I’ve seen rough welds on the spine of the E-Lander magazines which causes drag on the follower. I used a flat file to smooth out the welds which cured the problem. A pretty quick fix but unfortunately all brands of 6.5 Grendel mags suffer from poor quality control.

Geissele just released their new line of "ICM" magazines for the ARC line of cartridges, which in effect also includes 6.5 Grendel.

I just received my two 30 rounders from PA yesterday. Loaded up and hand cycled well. But haven't shot yet. I like how they're appropriately mostly straight rather than unnecessarily curved like the long Duramags.

They look pretty sweet at least, will shoot for function this weekend. Here's in my 12 inch:

I have heard nothing but good things about thos mags.

The price is a bit to high for my usage, even more so now that pmags will be available soon.

If you have the tools to do so, could you get use a measurement on how much load length those mags allow?

Will the pmags fit any receiver?

I'll pull out my calipers when I get home.

Also, these are different SKU than the previous mags that Geiselle was offering. The old design were going for almost $100. These are listed at $59, and I was able to get them for just over $50 from Primary Arms with a discount.

So, still a little pricey for a magazine but far better than a whole bill.

2.3020 inches measured from the base of the top round to the front inside of the magazine. The ELD-M round on top measured 2.2505 inches, for reference.

No. Just the newer design, that's based on the older LWRCI Six8 receivers.

The 20rd Geissele mags make a really nice fit for Grendel in standard AR-15 receivers.

When I measured the COL, it was ~2.325” I think. They laser-weld the spine so there is no overlap on the front of the mag wall. That allows longer COL as a result.

I’ve been using ASC, older CProducts, Amend2 Polymer, and Elanders for years now. I started off with CProducts in 2009.

Everything has been running fine for me. For shooting bench clearance, I like the 10rd Amend2 and up to 17rd Cproducts or Elanders.

For higher capacity, I like the ASC 25rd mags.

I have had pretty good luck with Duramags so far. They seem to work well.
