    10” SBR 6.5 Grendel AK

This popped up in my feed. Should be interesting.

I don’t really see much difference between 12” and 18” shooting steel out to 1000yds, so 10” might be doable. Twist rate is more important I think for ELR stability.

Well, you have to give the guy an 'A' for enthusiasm. At around 45 degrees, I have a 100 ELM-VT going 2481fps and a Nosler 123CC going 2292fps out of my AA 10.5. If he's shooting at altitude he should be able to pull this off.

I was much more of an AK guy when I was a kid, having experienced all the 80s action movies of the day.

I have some, but never shoot them. An Egyptian Maadi AKM and a MAK-90 with a US-made Galil-style folder.

I really like short AKs though, suppressed. I’ve shot a lot of AK variants since 1987, many of which were never imported into the US.

Any range time I have has been dedicated to accomplishing something as a general rule over the last 31 years.

My main focus lately has been training the kids, but my youngest is asking if we can take one of the AKs out just for fun.

Not sure if it will be able to compete with the 8.5” Grendel AR-15, which is my primary focus right now.

I posted a bit about my 10.5 Alexander Arms over in a different thread
I've been looking at these for a while and think I'm gonna pull the trigger. With the current sale $619 + free shipping I think it's a good deal for a reputable NFA Grendel upper. Should be good for deer/hogs out to 200 yards, and will ride comfortably in the UTV loaded with cheap Wolf ammo for general blasting. I have an Omega
