A little while ago I made my first post about buying the parts to build a Grendel AR. I ordered a 6.5 mm kit from J&T Distributing, and received it in the mail about 10 days later. Took about 2 hours to get the full rifle totally assembled. Then I ordered a Simmon's Whitetail scope to put on top. Here it is!
Didn't get to try it out right away, but finally got out to the range for the initial sight-in. Here's the group I produced on just the first box of ammo. I think I can do even better if I replace the stock trigger with something smoother and lighter. It was pretty heavy and could feel the creep, but managed to make a .795" group even with that. I am very, very happy! Will start developing a handload for it shortly.
