I think this is good news for the Grendel. It will get it in front of more potential customers. The 1 in 7 is a pretty fast twist rate. I like the profile behind the gas block but am confused about the profile forward of that. It's not like I need to hang an M203 off the front of my Grendel.

You have to consider that FN makes most of their barrels for milspec contracts. It is likely they only have sets of tools for a few different profiles. They likely just made the interior mandrel and ran the barrel just as they would have a standard M4 govt profile.

Combined with the steel cased ammo, this will provide an affordable plinking option for AR15 shooters who also want to be able to turn around and use their AR15 for hunting.

It doesn't say whether they are including a bolt with that.

I have a PSA CHF 5.56 FN made SAW barrel that just keeps throwing the rounds in sub .50" groups using handloads. These should be good barrels pending the chamber reamer. If they offer a head-spaced bolt and the group lower purchase via Precision Firearms goes thru, I will be putting another Grendel together.

If it matters you can zoom in on the pic and it appears to have 7.5 for twist on the barrel and 6.5grendel for caliber. So it doesn't look like a stock image.

I just called them and asked...."unfortunately we don't have that information. I would just buy one and worry about the bolt after" were her exact words..... once again I won't be buying from PSA
