If anyone is interested in taking on a stock project similar, and I HIGHLY suggest it as the original "Hogue-like" stock just doesn't feel right when paired with the mini action, here is a run down of what you need.
Bench mounted vice
hacksaw
drill w/ drill bits (to mount the swivel stud)
a couple of large files and rasps (I have an old school one that is a 4 in one file/rasp combo)
sander
epoxy (two part like jb weld. I used this to secure the end cap and front swivel stud)
sand paper (I think I started at 120, moved to 220, and finished with 300 something)
paint (primer, textured paint, final color paint..i used od green, and if you want webbing paint, oh and I used clear plasti-dip for the final coats).
I chose the green stock because on another forum I found where a member was also reshaping them and said the green stock had a better plastic quality (when compared to black).
Depending on which companies come out with aftermarket options (hoping for Manners or McMillan) I might buy a boyds and hack it up and see how much further I can push the envelope in reduction (maybe like the Kifaru rambling rifle)
