    Ruger American

Does anyone have a RAP in 6.5 Grendel AND one in .243/7mm-08/.308?

Is the Grendel action a drop in fit in the standard short action stock?

Do 6.5G rounds cycle/ feed out of standard .308 style Ruger mags?

Seems as though it could be a nice work around if someone really dislikes AR mags in a bolt gun.

I think it might work. From what I can tell The Grendel seems to have an adapter to accommodate the AR magazine which covers the standard 308 mag. You may be on to something. If it does it make a nice adaptation to work with seating depths in the Grendel.

That’s kinda what I was thinking...I’ve read that folks have had some success using AICS mags with Grendel bolt guns. If that works, then stock Ruger .308 mags may be similarly usable for 6.5 Grendel.

So..a person could (potentially) drop a RAP 6.5 Grendel barrelled action into, say...an MDT chassis for regular SA Ruger American and use AICS mags? That’d be interesting.
