I might have forgotten to mention, on that 129 Ablr load, from my 20" howa I am getting 2450 ft/s, which at 6000 elev, has about 2085 ft/s and 1245 ke; with its minimum opening at 1300 that seems pretty good for your elk. If you have the 22" barrel you should be able to get that or maybe a bit more. Just sayin'.

I have never seen a moose first hand but I have seen some bull elk up close and personal. How do the 2 compare body thickness wise at a broadside presentation?

I decided that the Nosler ABLR has the least limitations. Even though we will be shooting less that 300 yards, I know we will get full expansion. I ordered up 50 from PF. We will see if they will group and go from there. Hoping to get out and break in the barrel this weekend. Here is some interesting reading I came across just after I made my order.
