Howa Mini: custom barrel, Boyd's Agility stock

Barrel is a custom 19.5" 1:8 5R prefit from Crown Ridge Barrel Works; it uses a Savage small shank barrel nut. The Agility stock includes aluminum pillar bedding and adjustable comb. Bottom metal is a DIP aluminum unit.

It took some doing to open up the barrel channel on the Agility stock, but I do believe it was worth it. The rifle shoulders extremely well and is a pleasure to shoot, especially with my Surefire can attached.

Nice looking. I looked at that agility stock for a while... for a small savage in my case.
I'm about 60% into the waiting period for my PBB barrel for my howa (22"), it too has a howage nut. I already have an mdt chassis so that's what it will sit in.

Thanks fellas. It does well with the Berger 130 Tac Hybrids.

That is a nice-looking gun. How much does that stock weigh?

9lb 12oz according to my scale. That's with an empty 5rd mag inserted.

That's one beauty of a setup!
Love the Boyds just on my Ruger 10/22. So much handier to shoot.

To the OP and others who have used Boyd's stocks, is there much work to be done to get a good fit between the action and stock?

                        Thanks,

                        Monk

Not for me, but I got the optional aluminum pillar bedding. I did have to put in some work opening the barrel channel so my aftermarket barrel would free float, but I knew I'd have to do that going in.
