    Ruger American flush mag

Does such a thing exist? It would be nice for bench work.

To my knowledge no without modifying the body of an existing magazine. There are a couple sources for flush internal magazines conversions for the Howa bolt action 6.5 Grendel Mini Action. Here are some pictures which show the length of the ten round 6.5 Grendel mags. The five round 6.5 Grendel mags use a compressed spring design pictured below to reduce capacity but are otherwise the same as the ten round mags.

    6.5 Grendel ten round mags

6.5 Grendel five round magazine comparison

Left is a 18” 6.5 Grendel ten round E-Lander mag in the well, right is a 16” 6.5 Grendel with an ASC ten round mag in the well.

From left to right E-Lander 17 round 6.5 Grendel, 15 round ASC 15 round 6.5 Grendel mag, 10 round E-Lander 6.5 Grendel Mag and far right is an ASC 10 round 6.5 Grendel mag.

There isn't one for the Ruger because it uses a AR-15 mag.

There may be a aftermarket bottom metal setup that you could convert the Ruger to allow a flush fit mag like can be had for the howa mini rifles.

Thanks. Guess I'll try and make my own.

Ruger has a one-shot (single ahot) sled that eleminates the mag if you are interested. I have no experience with it. Doesn't look to complicated to install or remove. Here is a link if interested:

I'd buy one if it would fit the Grendel but it dosen't.

If you can find a wood stock "blank" that fits that action.

You could have it inlet to use one of the aftermarket howa mini bottom metals and have either flush fit mags or a hinged floor plate.

Possibly aka maybe. I don't have the Ruger, so I can't confirm the actions measurements to say for sure if the howa mini action aftermarket bottom metals would work.

Ah, I thought it did. From the description: "The sled ships with a magazine well to adapt rifles configured from the factory to accept AR-, AI-, or Mini Thirty®-pattern magazines". The installtion instructions have a section on installing with rifles configured with AR pattern mag wells, so assumed it would work. Guess could be confirmed one way or the other by contacting Ruger, if you haven't already.
