A rifle that could be added to the "suitable list" as one to convert to Grendel.

Hello the hoard, in the UK and Aus these are sold in 7.62x39 and use AK47 mags.

    Australian International Arms M10 rifles.

    For images look here; http://www.milsurps.com/showthread.php?t=20310

Ok so they look like the No5 (jungle carbine). That for me is a bonus as it's an iconic rifle and possibly the closest I can ever come to owing one. That aside would the Gren rnd function from the AK mag? I guess the bolt is ok as I have had to do nothing to my CZ bolt?

    Ok folks over to you.

8-9 years ago when the Grendel was new, (Tri Star I believe) advertised these in the US. We thought this would be a fair candidate for the first bolt action Grendel. We thought that a simple re barrel would work and they would probably feed-if you stacked in just 2 or 3 fewer rounds. I have never heard of the conversion being done. I have never seen one. Few have been imported to the US. I believe the price for the rifle is twice what the original advertised price was. They look beautiful and I've kept an eye out for one for years.

They are available, but the rifles weigh a great deal.

In 308 this is not much of an issue, in the little 7.62 it is a PITA.
