    6.5 new member, new Grendel

First off, just want to say thanks. I've just joined the site but got a lot of great info here that helped me with my build.

I've build a couple ARs in the past, use a 30-06 for hunting now but really wanted something lightweight with great reach/accuracy. Grendel was an obvious choice.

    My Current Build:

    18" Satern/liberty barrel with bolt
Spikes gun metal gray upper and lower
    BTE handguard
    BTE Adj. gas block
    AIM surplus carrier
    Mega slidelock charging handle
    Hiperfire EDT trigger
    Spikes T2 buffer
    Magpul ACS-L stock

Still waiting on some parts, so feel free to critique as I still have time to change things!

Just need to decide some Glass/Mounts. Any recommendations? (<$300)

    Progress so far.

Welcome! Nice looking rig so far. Glass and mount for under 300 bones will be pushing it, but look to the lower end vortex, redfield scopes. Burris pepr is a decent mount but I ditched mine in favor of the Leupold mark2 for about $30 more. Less bulky and more solid mount IMO. You also may look at primary arms scopes, I haven't used one but have read nothing but good about them.

Thanks. Sorry meant <$300 for just the scope. Mounts separate.

I've heard good things about PA, never purchased anything from them though.
Do you who manufactures primary arms scopes? I believe lucid makes their red dots.

China.... What kind of scope? Duplex, bdc, ranging?

        Welcome to the board.
12.5" SBR Grendel - Need Barrel
        Surge - Rugged Suppressor
Been a fan of the Grendel from the very beginning and haven't second guessed that choice one time.

        Aim small, miss small!

$299.95 At this price range you have to accept Mil reticle/MOA turrets

I have one mounted on a Grendel with a Stoner 24" Grendel chamber barrel and it is surprisingly bright and will enable .25 MOA groups if I do my part.

Or go with the weaver 3-10 grand slam tactical through midway. $299 mil turrets mil reticle and super clear glass. 1" tube but that is no big deal

i'm partial to the vortex vipers, but wouldn't pass up a nice deal on a redfield revolution or leupy.

SWFA has some very nice super sniper scopes that they have made in china for them. i like their fixed power mil-spec jobs.
