      I get 2450 FPS with 123 grain bullets and 31.0 grains CFE 223 in Lapua cases out of a 16” barrel. I bet with a 129 grain bullet your getting about 2475-2490. CFE is kind of slow burning powder and my load is not max, the extra weight of the 129 grain bullet might build pressure and velocity a little better. I figure most 129 grain bullet reloads in a 16” 6.5 Grendel will get between 2350 and 2475 depending on type of rifling and type of powder. Even a 129 grain SST at 2350 is a pretty decent combination out to 200-250 yards. The ABLR at 2475 would really be impressive out of a 16” 6.5 Grendel.

        Good shooting and good load. My 2 Grendels like that bullet with 30.6gr CFE and COAL at 2.27. haven't tried it at 2.26 but might one day. Getting rigih at .5 for 5 shot groups from the boltie and 5/8 from the AR with that load with the LRABs so happy enough for a hunting load.

        The chrono died and have not replaced it but drop confirms 2490 from a 22 inch boltaction.

          SD = 5 fps
