Quite the conundrum

So the rifle is a 12.5 grendel . Upper made by grendel hunter , spikes billet lower with a Maxim defence arm brace . First time shooting I had a catastrophic malfunction . The original lower where the hole that seats the pin that holds the buffer tube and buffering spring warped and shot out causing the bcg to get stuck in the buffer tube . Replaced lower with spikes billet lower . Problem solved however I have 3 different types of magazines including a new RZE multi cal mag . The rifle doesnt seem to like to feed every round in the mag . 3 to 4 times in each type of mag it wont strip next round into chamber . I drop mag , bolt runs forward . Tap rack and back in business. Also has block seems to leak . Gas port is .750 .

If you suspect a leaking gas block I would in investigate and resolve that first and see if that is causing the short stroke mis feeds
