    Help with a barrel

Looking to get either a 16" or 18' barrel for my build. Trying to decide between AA, Faxon match series, or GB, or other suggestions appreciated. Mostly going to use for hunting, and plinking with some distance shooting sprinkled in. Thanks for any opinions in advance.

I would like to stay around the $200 -$250 range, new to this and hadn't heard about Green Mountain before. I know you usually get what you pay for, just trying to get a good barrel not rich.

I have a 16" alexander arms barrel and a 12" faxon. The faxon shoots allot better. I don't even want to shoot the alexander arms anymore.

In that range I'd say either a Faxon gunner/match (I did joebob's) or the Ballistic Advantage. ArmorAlly.com has deals on the BA's that will put you into that price range on a good barrel.

Has anyone put out results from the GB barrels in 16" or 18" yet, just curious on accuracy.

Green Mountain has been in the barrel business for about 42 years, they know how to make an accurate barrel.

After seeing a lot of different posts in multiple forums for LRRPF52 I decided to go with a 18" AA Lightweight, hopefully it works out. Thanks to everyone for the suggestions. Almost have all the parts, can't wait to get it done.

Just so you are aware alexander arms uses a different thread pitch. You will have to pay attention to that when it comes to muzzle devices.
