    In my book...... nothing.

Plenty of suppressed grendels out there with normal bcg's in them, can't see why the 6mm ARC would need something like that to run properly with a can.

I agree, Hornady says if you have a Grendel all you need is a new barrel in 6mmARC

Lol and gas tube, don't forget gas tube because of the new spec for gas lengths.

Meh, for other-than-mil-shooters. Probably part of the spec DoD has for their uses. It has a few bells and whistles but nothing really earth-shaking to me.
Normal/nitrided commercial bcg's for the Grendel run - what... - from $80 for toolcraft to ~$140-150 for "name brand" (this is just off top of my head) so if someone needs a better than "name brand" they might spring for the extra 50 bucks...

But I do wonder if, since this might be from the military purchase specs, does this tell us anything more about the 6Arc round's performance during the shot?

On the gas tube lengths, that was part of an email exchange/question I had with Lilja, hopefully they will do some looking into it and let us know; the mfrs seem split on whether to use +1's or not.

My thinking is they mil unit spec'd it for longer gas because they don't use adjustable gas systems and to help make the gun run smoother on 3rd and full auto fire.

CMMG is using rifle length gas systems on both their 16" & 20" 6mm ARC barrels. Their 300 series rifles & uppers have SLR adjustable gas blocks but their 200 & 100 series don't. I'm guessing the 6mm ARC will run fine with a rifle length gas system. But don't go by my guesses. I'm still trying to figure out my Grendel...

Since 2002 CMMG has been the leading manufacturer of AR-15 rifles, AR-10 rifles, and trailblazing AR technologies. Build your own AR-15 or AR-10 today.
