Which charging handle for a scoped rifle?

    Sorry guys, another question.

I notice charging handles didn't come with my "upper parts kit." So, which charging handle for a scoped rifle build?

Caliber will be 6.5 Grendel (of course!)

Not going to run a suppressor.

    Right-handed use.

    Thanks!

I have large handle, ambidextrous charging handles in my scoped ARs (Geissele & Radian). I have a carbine with a Aimpoint red dot sight that has a standard BCM handle. The large handle units are easier to get a hold of on scoped ARs. Mediums would probably work OK...

I really like Griffin SNATCH charging handles. I have not had much occasion to thoroughly test on a suppressed upper, but the ability to manipulate the charging handle easily is great. The side latches operate smoothly for me.

Might be better deals available, but it was just a quick reference.

Can't go wrong with a Radian Raptor LT.

I've used Geissele Super and Airborne, Radian Raptor, Strike Industries extended latch, and just the Strike $10 extended latch. If it's light duty, the $10 Strike latch is fine. I have broken one clearing a malfunction during a competition stage, though. Overall, I like the Geisseles best, with the size of the scope bell dictating the latch size. They all really work fine though.

My favorite is the Radian Raptor, but I picked mine up years ago when they were much less expensive. I recently bought a Strike Industries Latchless Charging Handle on sale on my Grendel with an SWFA 3-15x42 and am surprised at how much I like it. You can buy extensions for the "wings" if you like, but I haven't found them necessary for my scope. If you have a larger diameter optic, those could be helpful.
