    AA lower - mil spec buffer or commercial?

    Just ordered an AA stripped lower...does it take mil spec buffer or commercial?

    Buffers are buffers....there is no milspec or commercial buffer.
    Start with a standard (CAR) buffer.

    The receiver extension (RE, "buffer tube") is a different story.
    There are two variants, milspec and commercial. The ID is the same but the OD's are different and will dictate which stock you will be able to use.
    Given a choice, for this part I would go milspec.

        AA uses milspec BTW
