    New Grendel Build

Got this all together last weekend and did barrel break in and shot a couple of groups. I wanted this one to be more SPRish as I have a 20" AA upper on a Black Rain Ordnance lower.

Once I get some load development done for it the Steiner will be replaced with a Nightforce 2.5X10 compact.

    Upper
    Vltor MUR
Geissele 15" Modular FF hand guard
    Lilja 17" barrel
    Surefire flash hider
    Larue Harris bipod
    NiB bolt carrier
    PF 6.5Grendel bolt
    PRI Gasbuster charging handle
Steiner 3X15 in a Larue mount

    Lower
    Black Rain Ordnance lower
    MagPul furniture
    DD Lower Parts
    AR Gold trigger

That's a sweet set-up, with no expenses spared really. Looking forward to how it shoots.

Thank you, I'm quite pleased with it.
This is two 3 round groups that I shot after barrel break in zeroing it at 50.

This is the last 3 rounds that I fired today at 100. Both are with 30.8gr CFE223 at COAL 2.265

Thank you, I'm pleased with how it turned out. I normally shoot 5 round groups but had a lot of other stuff to get done on the range and didn't get a chance to reload more 6.5G ammunition. I think this barrel is a work of art and I own some nice ones but then it's a Lilja, nothing else to say.

I'm heading out to a 300 yard range to shoot in the morning and we'll see how it shoots at that distance with that load. Also plan on shooting some suppressed groups as well.

CFE is turning out to be a great powder for this caliber. My thanks to all those here for all the info that they have posted on their work with it.

            More to follow.
