Depends on gas length and length of barrel. On my gun, 22" rifle length, I enlarged mine to .0945. Works great. There were several threads some years back if they're still available. Lr52 has extensive knowledge on this.

I have a 20 inch barrel...I was having feeding problems early on with my new Grendel.... I had the local gunsmith open up the Gas port to solve to problem. They stepped it up in small increments till the feeding issues went away and it was locking to the rear every time... But they went to .103 gas port size... It seems a bit big but it works great and I have not seen any sighn of over gas issues at all.... Is that a bit big?

MLGS 16" start at .078"
MLGS 18" start at .076"
RLGS start at .094"
If you seal the gas block to the journal, and seal the tube to the block, you can get better gas pressure with smaller ports.NRA Basic, Pistol, Rifle, Shotgun, RSO
